• When she acted in her first movie, Anjana Safar, the actress must have just been 15 years old. But, director Raja Nawathe didn't care about her age and he incorporated a passionate kissing scene between her and actor Biswajit Chatterjee. Rekha was stunned by the five-minute duration of the incident. That was crucial for the picture, not for my enjoyment, Biswajit later remarked. Rekha was enraged and felt deceived.
• This is startling but not altogether unexpected. Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan were partnered together while they were filming “Ram Balram.” When the filming began, Jaya Bachchan dropped on the set unannounced and discovered the two principal actors were having a private conversation.
